  Student Life

A wide spectrum of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities ranging from sports to community service complements JIRS's academic programme. These activities are both formal and informal in nature.

Whether you're rehearsing for a play, developing pictures in a darkroom or practicing with a music ensemble or playing basketball, these endeavours offer a respite from strictly academic demands. Our teachers are also coaches, sponsors, counselors and mentors who understand that education take place all over the campus- not only in the classroom.

The morning hours are spent in the dormitories studying. The dorm masters and dorm mistresses help in supervision and assist the students in their respective subjects of study.

The dorm masters and dorm mistresses also help the wardens and matrons in accounting for the work at the end of the month, counseling and monitoring the progress of the children. Beside studies, children also contribute to the work in the dormitories like making beds, tidying up tables and folding blankets. These are some of the tasks the children get involved in as part of their learning experience.

Dormitory
