Children's Day

Children’s Day was celebrated at JIRS with a difference making each child special for the whole day. The staff went
round the dorms to wake them up with a band and music playing on the loud speaker. Kids enjoyed tea/coffee
with teachers. Breakfast & lunch was specially planned & served by the staff. Fun games arranged by JASE team were enjoyed by all where, even adults became kids that moment!!!!!
The evening show was full of songs and dances by the staff. It became an unforgettable experience for the
children to watch their teachers dancing to different tunes.

Navratri Celebrations at JIRS

On the occasion of Navratri, a special puja was organized on 5th October 2011 during the Arthi Bhajan from 5.30pm to 6.30 pm to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswathi. Ayudha Puja was also performed in the morning. On 6th October a special Garba dance dorm nite was arranged for the girls in their Dorm's Amphi theatre between 8.15pm to 9.15 pm.

Gandhi Jayanthi Celebrations at JIRS

Gandhi Jayanthi was celebrated at JIRS with students enacting small skits depicting the message of Gandhiji to all students. Bhajans - Raghu pathi raghava & Vaishnava janato were sung by the school choir.

NCC Cadets Trekking Programme

As a part of adventure activities, 35 NCC CADETS of class VIII successfully completed a 10 Kms trekking on 10TH Jul 2011. The trekkers left the campus at 6:00 am and trekked about 10 kms. The students enjoyed the trek immensely and were enthusiastic; exploring the nature, embraced by the beauty of nature. The entire group was back in the campus by 9:00 am and to have breakfast. The students experienced a total different experience and enjoyed the trekking fully.

Awareness about Environment quiz was conducted on 23 and 24of June 2011 for students of class XI and XII. This event was organizes at vidya/shradha block AV room and library basement. Four teams having six students each were selected from both science and commerce steam.

Orientation programme for Junior students

An orientation was done by CEO Wg Cdr Ganesh Sharma for Class IV-VIII. A brief introduction about JGI Group & Chairman Sri R Chenraj Jain was given to the students.
In the evening the first session of Aarthi bhajan was held where many new students were anxious to perform the aarthi & few of then shared their experiences of the first day at JIRS.

Trip to Wonderla

The Junior section students of 4th to 8th std had a gala time at the Wonderla Water & Amusement park. This is a much awaited picnic by the children during the summer March month. The staff also had a great time enjoying the dry rides with children & also the water rides.

Students of Class 11 - science were taken to IISc for a science exhibition on 5 March 2011. They thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The students saw the juniors of Kendriya Vidyalaya explaining their science models and learnt many new concepts from them.

The Junior section students of JIRS have started the New Year with a very noble service of visiting the Kanakapura General Hospital daily. Everyday JIRS sends lunch to the Kanakapura General Hospital inpatients. JIRS students have been going daily & serving personally lunch for all patients & spending time with them.

The life of Swami Vivekananda was beautifully put across in small skits & songs. A well planned visual presentation of his life was also presented.

Jain Muniji's Visit to JIRS

JIRS students have been fortunate & blessed to be amidst the presence of Jain Muniji Sri Jinesh Kumarji Maharaj & his two disciples Paramanandji & Subhodhji. They visited JIRS on 7th January 2011 to conduct workshops on health, meditation, memory enhancement, life skills for the students & staff members. Their presence during the Aarti bhajan in the evening was an honour & blessing to all of us. Sri Jinesh Kumarji Maharaj has travelled all over India, even remote villages by Padayatra & has already completed 33,000kms.
