30/12/2010

Jain International Residential School proudly celebrated the 11th Annual Day. Jain International Residential School is India’s first residential school to be accredited by NABET. With a sprawling campus of over 300 acres, staff strength of more than 300 and a world-class infrastructure, JIRS caters to the needs of nearly 750 students from India and abroad and is acclaimed as one among very few of its kind in the country.

The 11th Annual Day meticulously planned by the students and staff of the school showcased the year’s activities to the parents and guests followed by the ceremonial function. The ceremonial function was presided by Dr. R Chenraj Jain – Chairman, The JGI Group and Wg. Cdr. K L Ganesh Sharma – CEO, Jain International Residential School.

Aaditaha Adhya Paryantam ……..from then till now a theme based special dramatic presentation staged by more than 200 JIRS students captivated the journey of planet from birth to the ages as man moved from wheels to flight to  earth space. The programme was a striking dance ensemble that takes us back to the times of Mahabharata when nature with its splendid pristine environment, mystical jungle and flowing rivers was unwittingly disrupted by the Pandavas who arrived to the jungle to make their living.

From then till now the attitude of man has remained the same. Man is in the process of civilization has been destroying woodlands to make his dwelling. Man for his own comforts has been the cause for nature’s destruction.

This narrative enacted by the students awakens each individual to take the lead, start a new beginning and build a bright future with life full of fragrance and colours.

Apart from the fun filled presentation, an exhibition of projects prepared by the students of various departments will be put to display. Cambridge Cell, Duke of Edinburgh, Cultural Festivals, Arts& Crafts, Science Displays, Art of living, Social Upliftment, Robotics will be some of the exhibition stalls. Overall a joyous feast will be served to the spectators.

The academic and endowment awards were given away by the Dr. R Chenraj Jain – Chairman The JGI Group to all the top scorers.
