All India Tennis Association Talent Series


The opening ceremony of ALL INDIA TENNIS ASSOCIATION TALENT SERIES for the year 2010 organized by Jain International Residential School - Bangalore was held at the school campus on 05th Apr 2010.

Mr. Karthi Chidambaram, Vice President, All India Tennis Association graced the occasion as the chief Guest. During his remarks he emphasized the need to have full time sportsman, this he feels will enable INDIA to produce world champions. During his visit to the campus he was delighted to see the Sports Infrastructure available to our students. He remarked that he would encourage various sports disciplines to conduct their national camps at these grounds.

Dr. R Chenraj Jain, Chairman – The JGI Group seconded Mr. Chidambaram’s views and promised the pupils of the school of a minimum of 3 & ½ hours of sports every day from the next academic year.
Also present was the tournament director Mr. Enrico Piperno, who spoke at length on thee development of young talents.

The qualifying matches were completed over the weekend and the main draw matches began as soon as the opening ceremony was completed. The tournament will be conducted for boys and girls under 12 & 14 categories respectively. Approximately 300 students participating in this prestigious tournament are ranked from all over India.

Chief Guest for Closing Ceremony was Wg Cdr Ganesh Sharma CEO – JIRS. All the winners and runners up were awarded with trophies and certificates.
