With each passing year, technology has changed and expanded drastically. Among all the technologies, robotics is the one that has changed the industrial scenario of the world. To keep students updated with the robotics technology, Jain International Residential School organized a field visit for 34 students of class 8 to JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) on 23 July 2022. The objective of the visit was to give students an outline of robotics classes. The students were accompanied by Mrs Padmapriya - The class teacher, and Mrs Lata Bakshi - Dorm Parent.
Dr. Adarsha, HOD - Mechanical engineering, addressed the students with an overview of the entire robotics programme. He highlighted the three areas of robotics - Automotive technology, 3D printing, and laser. He informed that all students will be divided into three groups and given hands-on experience in different areas of robotics. Dr. Adarsha presented a presentation on Automotive technology, 3D printing, and laser technology. He showcased a few sample models of laser cuts which increased curiosity among students. The students showed full enthusiasm after knowing about the projects they will be working on. Later, there was an informative and interactive session of questions and answers. The field visit concluded with a vote of thanks by the students to the faculty of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University).
