On 30th December 2022, Jain International Residential School (JIRS) celebrated its 23rd Annual Day in a grand manner. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by an invocation song.
Mr. Sanjeeva Kumar Sinha, Principal of JIRS, welcomed the gathering and presented the annual report of the school, which enumerated the significant school events and summarised the academic plan followed throughout the year. He also spoke about how the pandemic affected the educational sector and how the school has adapted to meet the educational demands of the current post-pandemic era. Dr. Chenraj Roychand, Founder and Chairman of the JAIN Group, also addressed the audience. He spoke about the importance of discipline and the need to focus on the holistic development of each student. He emphasised the need for counselling the parents so that they can inculcate punctuality in their children.
The event also witnessed the school magazine going digital. The staff members who had completed more than a decade-long service were honoured for their dedication and commitment towards the betterment of the school. The student achievers in academics, sports, art, and music were felicitated with prizes and certificates. The cultural programme, Malgudi: A Nostalgic Tale, took place in the afternoon. It was an extravaganza of dance, drama, and music that showcased the creative talents of the students. At the conclusion of the cultural programme, the director of the play and the choreographers were facilitated for their outstanding effort and dedication.
Mr. Gopal Raj, the Coordinator of the International Curriculum, presented the vote of thanks, and the event concluded with the national anthem.
