Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrated with Devotion and Sustainability at JAIN International Residential School

Bengaluru, 7 September 2024: JAIN International Residential School (JIRS) marked the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi with a celebration that combined deep cultural reverence with a strong commitment to environmental responsibility. The event was held at the JIRS Vasu MahaGanapathi Mandir and witnessed active participation from students, teachers, and staff members.

The celebration aimed to preserve and promote cultural traditions by engaging students in spiritual activities such as the Ganesh pooja, devotional singing, and festive rituals. In line with the school’s emphasis on sustainability, students crafted and immersed eco-friendly Ganesha idols, encouraging a conscious approach towards protecting the environment.

Speaking on the significance of the event, a senior member of the organising committee said, “Ganesh Chaturthi is not only a time for devotion but also an opportunity to educate our students on the importance of preserving both our heritage and our planet. This celebration allowed them to experience the joy of tradition while practising responsible environmental stewardship.”
