Bengaluru, 5 September 2025: JAIN International Residential School (JIRS) celebrated the twin occasions of Onam and Teacher’s Day with a vibrant special assembly on 5 September 2025. The event, held on campus, brought together students, faculty, and staff to honour cultural heritage and acknowledge the invaluable contributions of teachers.
The celebration commenced with students creating intricate Pookalam designs, symbolising the essence of Onam. Participants donned traditional attire, adding authenticity and charm to the day’s proceedings. The assembly featured a series of cultural performances, including songs, dances, and a skit that highlighted the rich traditions of Onam. A striking theatrical dance depicting the story of Ekalavya served as a poignant reminder of teachers' guiding role in shaping lives.

Speaking on the occasion, a senior faculty member remarked: “Events such as these reflect the holistic ethos of JIRS, where cultural appreciation and respect for our teachers go hand in hand.
