The athletic team of JIRS participated in the"CBSE Cluster Athletics Championship 2018", which was held at Akash International School, Bangalore from 14 to 17 October 2018. A total of one hundred and thirty-eight school teams participated in this championship. All the athletes performed up to the expectation. It was a very good exposure for athletes to boost their self-confidence for future competitions.

Mr. Mahantha V Babu of grade X and Mr. Hemanth D of grade XII qualified for Nationals in the triple jump event by securing the gold medal. Ms. Danika Joplin secured a bronze medal in shot put.
