JIRS School commemorated National Mathematics Day on 10 December 2025, celebrating the remarkable intellectual legacy of Srinivasa Ramanujan while fostering a culture of curiosity-driven and experiential learning. The programme featured thought-provoking addresses by academic leaders, followed by an engaging expert lecture by Dr Vishal Patil, Associate Professor of Mathematics at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). His session adeptly demystified advanced mathematical concepts, including infinite series and partition theory, making them accessible, relevant, and intellectually stimulating for students.
The celebration included the IBDP Year 1 Mathematics CAS Exhibition, where students presented projects and models demonstrating real-world applications of mathematical principles. Diploma Programme students mentored younger learners, encouraging meaningful peer interaction and hands-on exploration.
The event strengthened students’ engagement with mathematical inquiry, creativity, and confidence, reaffirming JIRS School’s commitment to nurturing enterprising, compassionate, and curious learners.
